Temporary Road Closures of:
Cheddon Fitzpaine Road and Gotton Lane, Greenway, Sidbrook, Blundells Lane, Red Hill, Noahs Hill, Church Hill, The Street, Dosters Lane and Boome Lane
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset propose to make an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along
Cheddon Fitzpaine Road and Gotton Lane from Cheddon Fitzpaine Road; from the junction with Greenway westwards for 370m and Gotton Lane; from the junction with Cheddon Fitzpaine Road northwards for 180m, a total distance of 550 metres. Proposed dates 08th April 2019 for 5 weeks.
Greenway from the junction with Sidbrook and Cheddon Fitzpaine Road, southwards for a distance of 470 metres. Proposed dates 29th April 2019 for 5 weeks.
Sidbrook from the junction with Greenway, westwards for a distance of 870 metres. Proposed dates 20th May 2019 for 8 weeks.
Blundells Lane from the junction with Sidbrook, northwards for a distance of 195 metres. Proposed dates 1st July 2019 for 3 weeks.
Red Hill from the junction with Greenway and Yalway Road, eastwards for a distance of 530 metres. Proposed dates 15th July 2019 for 4 weeks.
Noahs Hill from the junction with Blundells Lane, northwards for a distance of 250 metres. Proposed dates 29th July 2019 for 5 weeks.
Church Hill from the junction with Coombe Lane, northwards for a distance of 190 metres. Proposed dates 27th August 2019 for 9 weeks.
Church Hill from the junction with Coombe Lane, southwards for a distance of 345 metres. Proposed dates 27th August 2019 for 9 weeks.
The Street from the junction with Church Hill, westwards for a distance of 188 metres. Proposed dates 21st October 2019 for 4 weeks.
Dosters Lane and Boome Lane from Dosters Lane, from the junction with The Street and Church Hill southwards for 72m and Boome Lane, from the junction (Notice1) with Dosters Lane eastwards for 320m, a total distance of 392 metres. Proposed dates 11th November 2019 for 5 weeks.
This order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out phased gas mains upgrading works in these roads.
The Order becomes effective on 08 April 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The phased works are expected to last for a total of 36 weeks.
